The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences seeks to train middle-level laboratory professionals who have the required knowledge and skills to ensure accurate and safe diagnostic procedures at the laboratory, and have the capacity to undertake vigorous research to ascertain the causes, prevention and treatment of diseases.
The Ordinary Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences at Nyaishozi College is a three-year full-time programme of study. The programme is practically based, whose body of knowledge is grounded in the basic sciences and also supported by some core clinical courses and practical training in health facilities. The programme produces graduates who can efficiently collect, process and analyze biological samples of patients for accurate diagnosis of disease.
